I've been doing the "internet business" thing since I was a teenager. Literally, I started flipping baseball cards on ebay that I would buy from a local sports memorabilia shop by a guy named Norm. I bought my first domain name (my name, TommyBussey.com) in 2008 while I was still in college playing baseball and juggling classwork while staying up all night teaching myself how to write some html and css in notepad on my 2004 dell laptop with a 10 inch screen. In 2008 I was importing products from alibaba and flipping them on ebay for a profit. Note, that I was about 10 years ahead of the curve on the alibaba dropship trend ;)

After college I spent a few years doing lead generation and customer acquisition by way of search marketing. I was doing SEO in partnership with companies like Comcast, Verizon, AT&T and other home service providers. Helping drive the SEO channel for my firm from $160k annual ebidta to ~$6.8MM in 2 years of work.

From there I decided to go out on my own and started doing PPC to generate leads for law firm marketing services. After 2 years I was receiving about 80% of the total search impression share and was asked to become a Google Partner at age 24.

Noticing a coming change to the landscape where brand-centric business logic was getting more obvious to me in terms of Google's algo updates, I focused on a project that officially launched on December 2, 2014. I founded eTags.com with 2 partners and am very blessed that the company is still growing almost 11 years later.

All that said, I've had quite a bit of experience with domain names and the players that exist in this industry.
